The one who graduates today and stops learning tomorrow is uneducated the day after. – Anonymous
I am constantly learning as I go. Using tools like google to help me to find solutions. As I discover new tips and tools, I try to share these with those around me. I invite you to join me in sharing tools, tips, advice, questions that support our learning journey.
Here is one tool to get us started.
From the Website: Dropbox is a free service that lets you bring your photos, docs, and videos anywhere and share them easily. Dropbox was founded in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi, two MIT students tired of emailing files to themselves to work from more than one computer.
Today, more than 100 million people across every continent use Dropbox to always have their stuff at hand, share with family and friends, and work on team projects.
From me: I was introduced to website at work for sharing documents amongst the team. The beauty of this tool is that you can access these documents across several devices as long as you install the software. I have it on my ipad, iphone, work laptop and personal laptop. This allows me to access personal and work files at any time. After using the tool at work, I introduced Dropbox to members of my cohort for our group work. It was a beautiful thing! Allowing us to update and share files at any time of day. There was no need to wait fo a file to be emailed or to go search through your email, or worry about it being on your home computer. It could be accessed anytime and anywhere! On a personal level, I also use dropbox for photos to share with friends and family.
I highly recommend this tool for personal and professional use.
